*This listing is for the standard edition version and does NOT come with a limited edition slipcase!* Vinegar Syndrome specializes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic films from the 1960s-90s. The fashionable and affluent in the French Riviera city of Nice now have a baffling new problem: random assassination. While the Mystery Object television show is in town, being shot in a public square, a shocking mystery unfolds at the feet of the irascible, steely Inspector Carella. As general panic mounts and national attention focuses in, someone with a high-powered rifle keeps deftly executing seemingly unconnected people in broad daylight. Ignoring the meddling of his superiors, Carella desperately pushes his team harder, despite some of Nice's most formidable citizens flatly refusing to talk. Something has to connect the victims, but what could it be? A hybrid of the giallo and the French policier, Without Apparent Motive (Sans mobile apparent) adapted the novel Ten Plus One by famed American author Evan Hunter (under the pen name Ed McBain), while also featuring several notable Italian cast and crew members. The film's French leads, Jean-Louis Trintignant (The Great Silence) and Dominique Sanda (The Conformist), are complemented by Italian actors Laura Antonelli (Malicious) and Carla Gravina (Tony Arzenta), and a score by the legendary Ennio Morricone (The Stendhal Syndrome). Director Philippe Labro (The Hunter Will Get You) helms this procedural, set against a gruesome reality contrasted with a lush, stylish city. Vinegar Syndrome Labs is excited to uncover this Euro-thriller for its US disc premiere. Bonus Features: 1. Region A Blu-ray 2. Newly restored by Vinegar Syndrome from a studio-supplied master 3. Archival interview with director Philippe Labro from 2018 (51 min) 4. "The Uncredited Rémoleux" (38 min) - film historian Christophe Bier on the prolific career of uncredited actor Jean-Claude Rémoleux 5. Reversible sleeve artwork 6. Newly translated English subtitles Without Apparent Motive [Blu-ray] Without Apparent Motive Similar From the Brand Questions Reviews

Sex work is portrayed with radical nonjudgment in Lizzie Borden’s immersive, richly detailed look at the rhythms and rituals of society’s most stigmatized profession. Inspired by the experiences of the sex workers Borden met while making her underground feminist landmark Born in Flames, Working Girls reveals the textures of a day in the life of Molly (Louise Smith), a photographer working part-time in a Manhattan brothel, as she juggles a steady stream of clients, balances nurturing relationships with her coworkers with the demands of an ambitious madam, and above all fights to maintain her sense of self in a business in which the line between the personal and the professional is all too easily blurred. In viewing prostitution through the lens of labor, Borden boldly desensationalizes the subject, offering an empathetic, humanizing, often humorous depiction of women for whom this work is just another day at the office. DIRECTOR-APPROVED BLU-RAY SPECIAL EDITION FEATURES New, restored 4K digital transfer, supervised by director Lizzie Borden, with uncompressed monaural soundtrack Audio commentary from 2007 featuring Borden, director of photography Judy Irola, and actor Amanda Goodwin New conversation between Borden and filmmaker Bette Gordon New conversation with actors Louise Smith and Amanda Goodwin, producer Andi Gladstone, and first assistant director Vicky Funari New conversation with sex workers Antonia Crane, Daphne Nguyen, Selena the Stripper, and Jo Weldon English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing PLUS: An essay by author So Mayer and excerpts from a 1987 interview with Borden by film critic Scott MacDonald Top About this item Similar From the Brand Reviews Working Girls (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

Product Description Western adventure, based on a true story, about six young men hired to guard an Englishman's ranch against a mob in 1870s New Mexico. Amazon.com Part of what was touted as a late-1980s revival of Westerns (and you can see how long that lasted), this good-looking, empty-brained film was like a spurs-and-chaps version of a Joel Schumacher movie, filled with pretty faces, prettier imagery, and absolutely no new ideas. The idiotically grinning Emilio Estevez is cast as Billy the Kid, who slowly accumulates a gang of Brat Pack buddies (Lou Diamond Phillips, Kiefer Sutherland, Dermot Mulroney) and fashions them into a group of male models with six-guns. The action is confused and the script is trite, though Terence Stamp is intriguing as the old reprobate who helps the gang get its act together. Followed by an even worse sequel. --Marshall Fine
