*This listing is for the standard edition version and does NOT come with a limited edition slipcase!* Vinegar Syndrome specializes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic films from the 1960s-90s. Lillian and Geoffrey (stage actors Miriam Healy-Louie and Stephen Ramsey) are a seemingly happy couple who relocate to the country so that Geoffrey can focus better on his work, which Lillian knows little about. As she begins to investigate what Geoffrey spends his days doing in their shed, she discovers a trail of medical experiments that she can’t explain. Eventually, their relationship begins to unravel, with both parties consumed by madness. Larry Fessenden’s first feature-length film to be shot on film, NO TELLING, reimagines Mary Shelley’s immortal Frankenstein tale as an upstate chamber drama that gives way to something much more sinister. A prescient parable about man’s relationship with nature and the darkness inherent in us all, making it a potent precursor for the films that would follow in Fessenden’s career. Shot on location in upstate New York, entirely on Super 16mm film, NO TELLING is an essential entry in the canon of American independent horror cinema of the 1990s, now lovingly restored in 4K by Vinegar Syndrome in a director-approved presentation from its uncut original film elements. Bonus Features: 1. 2-disc Set: 4K Ultra HD / Region A Blu-ray 2. 4K UHD presented in Dolby Vision High-Dynamic-Range 3. Newly scanned & restored in 4K from its 16mm original negatives and a 35mm blowup interpositive 4. Brand new commentary track with co-writer / director Larry Fessenden, moderated by Justin Laliberty 5. Brand new commentary track with film writer Scout Tafoya 6. Archival commentary track with co-writer / director Larry Fessenden 7. "The Making of No Telling" (24 min) - an archival making-of featurette 8. Sophisticated fashion photographer Katherine Grant (Colbert) is assigned to photograph the tough “sandhog” construction workers at a tunnel project site. This heartwarming classic proves the old adage that opposites attract! Wonderfully directed by Mitchell Leisen (Hands Across the Table, No Man of Her Own), shot by Charles Lang (Separate Tables) and co-starring Ilka Chase (Now, Voyager), Richard Haydn (The Emperor Waltz), Paul McGrath (A Face in the Crowd) and June Havoc (Gentleman’s Agreement). Charged with high-voltage tension and suspense, the electrifying thriller No Way Out is a tightly wound tale of intrigue set in the political whirl of Washington and the inner corridors of the Pentagon. In this ’80s box-office smash, Kevin Costner (The Untouchables, Revenge) stars as naval hero Lieutenant Commander Tom Farrell, the new CIA liaison for Defense Secretary David Brice, a high-ranking master of political maneuvers played by the dynamic Gene Hackman (The Package, Narrow Margin). Sexy Sean Young (Blade Runner) is a gorgeous party girl who plays politics herself as Brice’s mistress and Farrell’s secret lover. And Will Patton (Desperately Seeking Susan) is the Secretary’s ruthless aide, architect of a cover-up scheme that protects his boss, but entraps Farrell, putting his life in danger. With its serpentine plot twists, narrow escapes and true-to-life Pentagon setting, No Way Out is the harrowing story of an innocent man caught in a complex web of romance and murder, power and corruption. Product Description An interracial teenage couple in the 1950's American South, rob and steal to escape their oppressive town, but when violence erupts they are forced to confront their own dark secrets. Review Freya (HEMLOCK GROVE) Tingley gives a performance that establishes her as one of cinema s penultimate femme fatales, up there alongside Barbara Stanwyck (DOUBLE INDEMNITY), Lena Olin (ROMEO IS BLEEDING), Linda Fiorentino (THE LAST SEDUCTION) and Jane Greer (OUT OF THE PAST). She s delicious in the surprising depths of her malevolence. Tom Williamson, as her wary fellow conspirator, has a few noirish surprises of his own. Justin Arnold plays a lovesick cop whose performance grew on me. And cult character actor Larry Fessenden delivers his best supporting role. NO WAY TO LIVE is a debut feature from Nick Chakwin and David Guglielmo, both as co-writers and co-directors. It shows a sure directorial hand, and a mischievous one to boot: they don t just acquit themselves professionally, they know how to tease us as well. DP Alex Chinnici gives the film a nice caste, warm neo-noir colors that keep us alert for trouble even when all seems well. There s a driving scene where I wish he d used a polarizing filter so that we could see the faces in the front seat more clearly, but outside of that one frustration, it s quite satisfying visually. --Films in Review

Emmy winner Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul, The Post, Nebraska) stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life's indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake (Gage Munroe, The Shack), is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen, Wonder Woman), seems to pull only further away. The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch's long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary (famed Russian actor Aleksey Serebryakov, Amazon's McMafia)—and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again.

Screen legend Paul Newman (Twilight) delivers a brilliant performance as Sully, an out-of-work, hard-headed and hard-working construction worker with bad knees and a worse attitude. When the son he walked out on, Dylan Wash (Betsy’s Wedding), shows up with his grandson, Sully is forced to deal with emotions he’d prefer to forget. Sully’s overbearing landlord, Jessica Tandy (Driving Miss Daisy), in one of her last performances, and his ex-boss’ wife, Melanie Griffith (Paradise), are the women in his life that get to see a bit of his softer side. A respected doctor (Kent Smith) fakes his death, deserts his family, throws away his career and drive himself to the edge of madness -- all for the love of saloon singer Nora Prentiss (Ann Sheridan). From the opening shot of a media circus engulfing a handcuffed mystery man to the final scene of a scarred face peering from a cell window, Nora Prentiss ensnares viewers in its atmospheric world of sex, violence, shady motives, seedy nightclubs, and claustrophobic lensing by master cinematographer James Wong Howe (Hud, Body and Soul) that makes the camera a vital character in the drama. A harrowing twist ending adds another layer of shadow to this smoky, moody, totally absorbing film noir.

Following on from the enormous success of his breakthrough film Django, Franco Nero returned to the Wild West (Almería, Spain) to star in the same year s Texas Adios, which was released as Django 2 in some countries. Here he plays tough gunslinger Burt Sullivan, a sheriff who, along with his younger brother (Alberto Dell'Acqua, Endgame), journeys to Mexico to hunt down the sadistic bandit Cisco Delgado and avenge his father s murder. When Burt and his brother fall in with a group of Mexican revolutionaries, the stage is set for a violent climatic confrontation... Directed by veteran helmsman Ferdinado Baldi, best known for the cult Western Blindman (starring Beatles tub-thumper Ringo Starr) and the 3D extravaganza Comin' at Ya!, Texas Adios is a lesser-known Spaghetti Western gem, which boasts rapid-fire action scenes, stunning locations and stylish cinematography courtesy of Enzo Barboni (Django, Nightmare Castle). Spencer Tracy and a stellar supporting cast grab muskets , gun powder and knives, and head out for adventure in Northwest Passage, a lavish Technicolor retelling of French and Indian War heroics, based on Kenneth Roberts' best seller. Tracy plays a true-life explorer Major Robert Rogers, the intrepid leader of the celebrated Roberts' Rangers fighting force that took on one of the most challenging expeditions in military history. Tracy's portrayal brilliantly captures the American pioneering spirit, but he had to muster up his own will to carry it off. It isn't exactly fun to work in bitter cold and be sloshing through mud all day he said. For twelve grueling weeks of location shooting, he endured trapsing through swamps, crossing rapids, and climbing mountains. Of this rousing epic (released shortly after Gone With the Wind), The New York Times wrote, Now that the 'Wind' has stopped ruffling your hair, you can have it lifted, scalp and all in Northwest Passage.
