Description

An aspiring director risks his relationship and savings on a shady producer's deal. After a devastating betrayal, he must find a way to start over. Johnny Penn (Walter Cox) is a man driven by a lifelong obsession to become a film director. His opportunity arrives via Leon Spickle (Brian Gromoff), a charismatic but low-budget producer who claims to have secured a deal with a major production company. Despite warnings from his girlfriend, Veronica (Liese McDonald), and his friend Rick (Lee Barringer) about Leon's integrity and rumored history as a drug dealer, Johnny is blinded by his own ambition. When Leon claims the financiers require immediate "seed money" to start shooting, Johnny faces a moral crossroads. Driven by the fear of losing his only shot, he ignores the advice of his childhood friend, Father Joe (Joe Barile), and secretly withdraws $20,000 from the savings account he shares with Veronica. He convinces himself the ends justify the means and begins filming his screenplay, "Fatal Suspicions"--a dark tale about a childhood game of war that turns into a real-life cycle of revenge. The deception shatters when Veronica discovers the empty bank account and confronts Johnny on set. The tragedy deepens when Johnny calls the production company and realizes Leon never had a deal; the producer has fled the city with their life savings. Broken and alone, Johnny spends months in a spiral of guilt and alcoholism. His path to redemption begins when Leon's introverted son, Cy (Roman Danylo), approaches him with saved money and a desire to clear his conscience by helping Johnny finish the film. Johnny eventually reconciles with Veronica and completes the movie, which becomes a major success. In a final twist, Johnny witnesses a disgraced Leon being shot by thugs over past debts; though he saves Leon's life, he finally recognizes that their paths must remain separate, having learned the true cost of blind ambition. To win a $2,000 bet, Mike woos Diane. After a romantic resort trip ends in betrayal, he risks all in a deadly race to prove his love . n Riverside Heights, sturdy and unpretentious Mike Underwood (Joe Straface) enters a high-stakes $2,000 wager with the local bully, Randy (Lee Barringer). The challenge: Mike must convince Diane (Stacy Christensen)--a beautiful young woman known as "Snow White" for her pure reputation--to spend a weekend at the mountain resort Paradise Bungalows. Mike's initial schemes are comedic disasters. He first poses as a milkman, but a chocolate milk carton explodes, soaking Diane and her home in a sticky mess. Encouraged by his friend Charles (J.T. Wotton), Mike then adopts a "007" persona. He follows Diane to Kilarney Pool, where he nearly drowns trying to fake swimming skills, only to be rescued by Diane herself. Moved by his vulnerability, Diane agrees to an ice cream date, where they begin to form a real connection. As Mike navigates Diane's overbearing mother, Marion (Bev Wotton), and her mother's plans for her to marry a boring accountant, he invites Diane to the bungalows with a promise of separate rooms. At the resort, the two bond over a terrifying and hilarious encounter with two bears outside their cabin. Mike's bravery--and his accidental activation of a noisy alarm clock--scares the bears away and solidifies Diane's feelings for him. The romance shatters upon their return when Diane's friend Judy (Anna Lisa Iapaolo) reveals the truth about the $2,000 bet. Devastated and humiliated, Diane leaves Mike. To redeem himself and clear Diane's name, Mike challenges Randy to a deadly game of "chicken" at an old airport. Mike refuses to swerve, winning the game and forcing Randy to publicly apologize to the girls. Having won back Diane's heart through genuine courage rather than a scheme, Mike ends the story by playfully introducing himself to her mother as "Luke Skywalker". A grieving farm girl guards a fallen star and, with unlikely allies, must survive one miraculous night against ruthless hunters. On a weathered farm at the edge of a fading town, Aisling (Alexandra Dowling, Emily, The Musketeers) shoulders grief far too heavy for her young frame. The days move slow, the nights slower, and the silence of loss presses in on every corner of her world. Then, under the shadow of an eclipse, the sky splits open and a star falls to earth. From its glow steps Raphael (John Rhys-Davies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade, and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy) -- not quite angel, not quite man -- who places the living star into a locket at Aisling's heart and entrusts her with its keeping. But Aisling is not alone in this night. Beside her stands Joshua (Diego Boneta, Terminator: Dark Fate, Luis Miguel: The Series), a young man bound to the ruins of a once-grand chateau across the water, a house haunted by debts, memory, and the expectations of a powerful father. Joshua knows loss as she does; his dreams, like hers, have been dimmed by sorrow and circumstance. With Raphael's strange guidance, Aisling and Joshua are swept into a single, unbroken night of wonder and peril. The living star can turn lead to gold, despair to hope -- and word of its power has drawn dangerous men from the shadows: thieves, debt-collectors, and a ruthless figure who will burn the town to claim it. Through empty fields, crumbling halls, and moonlit roads, the young pair flee and fight to protect a light that was never meant for greedy hands. Description

In a frozen forest, a solitary Drifter follows a ghostly Old Man from a rocking chair to a ruined hotel, lured by silence and eerie self-portraits. In the dead of a bitter winter, a solitary Drifter (Alf Lamers) trudges through a silent forest, fleeing the wreckage of his past life. On his back rests a rucksack adorned with pans and cans that click and clang with every step, a sharp metallic rhythm echoing in the white void. As the storm intensifies and daylight fades, he encounters an impossibility: an Old Man (Mario Lucente), sitting in a rocking chair half-buried in the snow. The Old Man is wrapped in a heavy, archaic WWII soldier's coat; he does not shiver, and no white breath escapes his lips in the freezing air. In his lap, he clutches a bundle of disturbing charcoal sketches--self-portraits showing his own face transitioning from weary human to skeletal decay. Without speaking, the Old Man rises and beckons the Drifter to follow, leading him with unnerving steadiness toward a dilapidated, vine-strangled hotel hidden in the trees. Inside the "frozen corpse of a building," the spectral guide leads the Drifter into the lobby and suddenly vanishes near a dark corner. Confused and freezing, the Drifter notices a section of the wall that has been hastily concealed with rotting planks. Driven by a morbid instinct, he pries the wood loose, revealing a hidden, airless crawlspace. Inside sits the rocking chair. Slumped within it is a skeleton, draped in the tattered, dust-covered remains of the same WWII coat. In the skeleton's bony lap rests the actual bundle of drawings. The Drifter shines his light on them, realizing the truth: the Old Man had walled himself in years ago. The sketches were his final diary--frantic, charcoal self-portraits drawn in the dark, documenting his own starvation and death until the final page, which depicts only a screaming skull.
