This movie is held together by the two main leads because their chemistry/romance is what keeps you interested. There isn't much to the plot and it feels very disjointed at times. I appreciate the dark and somber tone of the movie, but some of the poetry scenes came across as cheesy. Not my favorite Singleton movie, but it's still highly recommended.
