I really wanted to like this one more due to the monster theme, but the pacing and humor was way too inconsistent to enjoy. The characters and animation were fun, but the story took longer than necessary to set up. (I think this would've worked better as a short instead of a full-length movie.) The Blu-ray seems to be sourced from a poor print because the quality shifts from scene to scene, but th...

This movie is held together by the two main leads because their chemistry/romance is what keeps you interested. There isn't much to the plot and it feels very disjointed at times. I appreciate the dark and somber tone of the movie, but some of the poetry scenes came across as cheesy. Not my favorite Singleton movie, but it's still highly recommended.

Over the top and goofy movie with some fun moments. The characters are likable, but the romantic plot was unnecessary and weird. The special effects are passable but the situations the characters find themselves in require the most patience. The sound and picture quality on the disc are great, but your mileage may vary regarding the overall story.

This is a great movie with a dark and creepy atmosphere that's well executed. There is a lot to like, from the claustrophobic locations to the unique storyline. Some of the secondary characters are more interesting than the main characters and the CGI is a bit dated, but it's sparse and still effective. If you're looking for a creature feature, I would definitely recommend this unless you have a s...

A visually striking movie based on a pulp character from the 1930s. He was the inspiration for Batman, so you'll notice a few similarities while watching the movie. It leans heavily into the source material, so expect some level of camp. Recommended, if you're looking for a fun and stylish comic book movie.

I went into this movie blind and had no idea it only focused on a particular period of his life. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it just never clicked for me. The scenes with musical performances were well done and exciting, but that's about it. I would pass on this movie unless you're already a Springsteen fan.

This is a very fun take on a Western movie. The plot is pretty straightforward, but the campiness and comic book-style approach make it entertaining to watch. The picture quality is great, and the sound is excellent, especially during gun fights. The characters and performances are a blast to watch! Recommended if you don't take it too seriously.

A fun crime thriller with some great tension! The premise seems silly at first, but the action moves at a quick pace as the situation escalates. The dilapidated location adds some grittiness to the story while the performances keep you invested. Worth checking out if you enjoy urban movies that pack a punch!

A very good psychological thriller with a villain who is completely unhinged! The story can be a bit over the top and feel campy at times, but is still effective at delivering suspense and dread throughout. Worth a watch if you're looking for a wild ride!

Very effective and creepy thriller with a unique concept. Gets under your skin and keeps you guessing until the very end. Overall, a solid choice for the spooky season!
