Rental Family is one of those movies that sneaks up on you. It starts with a quirky idea and somehow turns it into something funny, heartfelt, and surprisingly moving. Brendan Fraser is fantastic and brings the kind of warmth that makes you root for him almost immediately. The movie gets plenty of laughs out of its unusual premise, but it never forgets that there are real people and emotions under...

The Life of Chuck is an interesting mix of drama, fantasy, and science fiction. The story is told in reverse, which gives it a unique feel, although it can be a little confusing at first. He brings a surprising amount of charm and vulnerability to Jeffrey Manchester, while Kirsten Dunst gives the movie some much-needed emotional weight. Their chemistry works well and makes the more personal side of the story surprisingly engaging. The biggest issue for me is the pacing....

Great movie but just short of 5 stars for me. Picture and sound off the chart. Especially for any Michael Jackson fans.
