A bit of 90's nostalgia when rave culture was first becoming mainstream. Some teens, looking to procure some ecstasy to sell at tonight's rave, end up hitting some roadblocks. Meanwhile some other forgettable plots unfold that eventually intertwine. Nothing *really* happens in this movie. It's a tamer "Pulp Fiction" for a slightly younger audience. Very watchable for some (like me), but objective...

Literally a live-action cartoon with silent characters who communicate with mime and CG animation. The entire film is black-and-white and heavy on grain, presumably as a throwback to early cinema. The premise: a successful drunkard loses everything, and decides to go 'Elmer Fudd' on the local wildlife in an attempt at survival. I've recommended this movie to people with mixed results. It was an ...

"Triangle of Sadness" deserves the view over this rip-off. It's not perfect, but it's far better. Where do I begin? First off, the quiet girl turns "girl boss" because she watches 'Survivor' shows is absurd. This movie constantly beats you over the head with these modern tropes, it's interwoven into every plot point, every shenanigan, and every scene and it's tiresome. The island is clearly CG,...

Oooof. I could only watch the first 20 minutes of this movie before I had to turn it off. Despite the talent behind it, and the Orwell story it's based on, this movie just couldn't save itself. The animation is awful, and given that it's not really a story for children, the fact that the animation feels like it's for toddlers makes this movie feel like it has no audience.

I'm a fan of both Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan, but this movie is poorly paced, makes little sense, and really just throws curveballs for no reason. What should be a fun, silly movie ends up being a little arduous to follow along with.

Underrated gem from that New Zealand director who works on the Marvel movies. Follows two extremely strange socially-awkward people who meet and have some strange interactions.

A family on a rustic vacation has a run-in with a "bigfoot". This movie holds up pretty well. The humor is good, the picture looks great, and it's a nice easy watch. Sadly, the moral themes about being kind to other species are likely still relevant today.
