Conan the Barbarian 4K 01/24

I think the original cut is still the best. Regardless of which cut you watch, this is so elite. The platonic ideal of an 80’s fantasy movie.

When I was a kid there was a theater that didn't card ID and sold $1 double features. I'm recommending the best double feature; Conan the Barbarian and Heavy Metal. It's not what's best in life, but so much fun. Try it! This is the best of the Sword and Sandal genre of films. Thanks to Arrow Video for this awesome upgrade. I was a bit thrown by the added scenes at the end. I can see why they were originally cut as they add time and distract from Conan and Thulsa Doom. But good to see this cut ...

Conan the Barbarian looks noticeably better than the older Blu-ray, especially in its detail, colors, and darker scenes. The picture is not perfect because the grain can look uneven, but the Dolby Atmos audio is excellent and gives the film a much more immersive presentation. The disc also includes the Theatrical, International, and Extended Cuts.
