It's a five star cast, excellent production quality, and an interesting premise. Somehow, though, the story doesn't really connect. For me, at least, when the monster victims are all hopelessly doomed, and they never really fight well or even know what they're fighting, it's kind of boring. There's no tension if there's absolutely no way the victims can even fight back. On top of that, the victims all act very dumb. The final "battle" had all kinds of bad logic loopholes.
