A very fun and watchable movie. The cast is stuffed with recognizable names crammed into small roles, which adds an extra layer of fun watching the movie ("Hey, that's Lisa Bonet!" "Hey, that's Gabriel Byrne!") At its core this is a chase movie, with affable, confused, Will Smith being hunted throughout the Washington D.C. area by government-surveillance-tech types. Gene Hackman is his grizzled, ...

Keira Knightley is a talented singer-songwriter who meets Mark Ruffalo, a music producer, when they are both at rock bottom emotionally. They get their acts together to record an album all across New York City. The process of making the album heals them both. Don't know why it's rated R, I suppose for the excessive swearing, alcohol use, and adult-relationship discussions? There's no nudity, bedro...

Though it stars the creators of South Park, and it seems to have some of the South Park sensibilities, this is actually a David Zucker (Naked Gun, Airplane!, High School High) film. Lots of visual gags, slapstick humor, some raunchiness, lots of inappropriate behavior, etc. There is lighthearted non-PC humor, but the roasting is spread pretty evenly against everyone across all the political spectr...

Extremely silly movie. Not quite bad enough to be a cult classic, but almost. Small slapstick aliens land in rural America on Halloween and need kids' help to leave the planet. Hi-jinx ensue. If you want to have fun watching it, you will, but you really have to be in the right mood. SPECIAL FEATURES: Kino Lorber BluRay release from 2020 has a bunch of extras, including audio commentary. The detai...

Was expecting a movie with Lady Di gossip and mannered backstabbing a'la The Crown. This was not that, though. It's a gorgeously filmed, wonderfully acted, highly atmospheric, movie that follows Kristen Stewart as Diana over a Christmas holiday with the royal family. Kristen Stewart plays Diana as a woman who is losing her mind, and most of the time Stewart is mooning and rolling her eyes and acti...

NO SPECIAL FEATURES. :\ If you want special features (like audiocom, featurettes) look for the Criterion Collection release of this movie, which should have a whole extra disc of them, and should be available on this site. As of 8/3/26 the 3dbl website lists Anthony Hopkins, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Derek Jacobi in the cast? lol. Yeah, if they're in this movie I missed their cameos. That would ...
