Spaceballs delivers big laughs, and the 4K UHD disc looks really great. Video is sharp with rich color and strong depth, though a few darker moments have minor density fluctuations and shadow detail is a little soft in places. The lossless 5.1 audio is solid and well-separated with clear dialogue, though the mix can feel a bit exaggerated at times. Overall, this is the best home video presentation...

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows has a pretty fun, punchy vibe, even if it feels a bit more diffused than the first one. On the 4K UHD disc, the picture looks great overall, with excellent fine detail and nice HDR highlights, even though the image can look a little tweaked and gritty. The sound is strong too, with an active DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 mix that really moves around the room. Overall i...

Sherlock Holmes is a fun, fast-paced take on the character with great production design and generally solid performances. On the 4K UHD disc, the picture looks great with noticeably improved detail, though it can be pretty dark and gritty with some visible grain. The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track sounds strong with clear dialogue, solid surround activity, and good low-end support. No extras on the...

Punch-Drunk Love is an offbeat dark romantic comedy that lands its emotional punches fast, even if it is not for everyone. The 4K UHD transfer looks near-perfect, with great detail, solid blacks, and colors that really pop. The Dolby Atmos track is quiet most of the time, then gets intense with convincing surround activity and strong low-end during the big moments, so it sounds better than ever.

Sleepless in Seattle is a bit of a mixed bag on the 4K disc. The Atmos track is solid, with clear dialogue and lively, dynamic sound, but the picture lands on the darker side and can look dim and less vibrant than you want for a rom-com. Detail is still pretty good, with clean edge work and no obvious artifacts, but faces can skew a little oversaturated. Overall, it mostly delivers if you care mor...

X-Men: First Class looks pretty sharp on the 4K UHD disc, with nice color gradations and HDR, but it does not fully pop since the transfer is often a bit dark and has noisy-looking grain. There are also occasional issues like brief focus problems and slight judder in some pans or tracking shots. Audio comes through strong for a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track, so it sounds solid even if the picture ...

Underworld: Awakening on 4K UHD is a slick, entertaining action-horror entry that still feels fun to watch. The picture is an excellent HDR upgrade, with better black depth, sharper whites, and stronger pop in colors like flames and blood, while overall detail gains are more refinement than overhaul. The audio is the real standout, with Dolby Atmos that delivers loud, well-defined surround effects...

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans looks incredible on the 4K UHD disc, with noticeably sharper detail and rich HDR color that really pops. The Dolby Atmos audio is just as impressive, with full, immersive surround sound and a strong, punchy low end. The disc also adds a new UHD featurette about the film’s production design.

Underworld: Evolution is a bit of a grind story-wise, but the 4K UHD disc looks great and sounds amazing. The picture jumps to deep, inky blacks and more vibrant, detailed color with solid HDR punch. The Dolby Atmos track is reference-level, with huge, well-balanced surround and clear, well-placed dialogue. If you are a fan of the series, this upgrade is well worth it even though the movie itself ...

X-Men: The Last Stand is a solid entry in the trilogy, and this 4K UHD disc is a nice upgrade with noticeably sharper detail and better HDR color highlights. The image still has a heavy, grainy film look, and some of the darker scenes can feel a bit noisier, so it is not a perfect transfer. Audio is excellent with the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. Overall, it is a worthwhile 4K if you want a clea...
